JUNE 3, 2019, LAS VEGAS – GCW, Inc. is proud to announce and welcome Bob Murnane as Senior Vice President. He joined GCW in April 2019 and brings nearly 30 years of engineering experience to the firm. Murnane is responsible for overseeing the water/wastewater and flood control divisions.
After graduating from the Oregon Institute of Technology in 1987, with a Bachelor of Science in civil engineering, Bob moved back to Southern Nevada and began employment with the City of North Las Vegas as a principal engineer. He subsequently went on to start his 22-year career at the City of Henderson. As former city manager and public works/parks and recreation director for the City of Henderson, Bob has extensive experience in infrastructure planning, design, and implementation associated with growing communities. With over 14 years as public works director, he was responsible for supervising a wide array of engineering functions and capital improvement implementation programs. As City Manager, Bob applied the business practices he developed in the public works arena to all areas of City Government.
Bob is a recognized industry expert in municipal infrastructure and maintains effective local, regional, state, and federal relations. He is a current member of the American Public Works Association (APWA) Nevada and the American Society of Civil Engineers (ASCE).
