GCW provided construction management services for the reconstruction/
rehabilitation of Casino Drive, a 5-lane, 80-foot right-of-way arterial serving the
resort corridor in Laughlin. Project included full-depth pavement replacement;
roadway regrading and striping design revisions to accommodate raised medians;
traffic signal upgrades at 10 intersections including video encoder/decoder, CCTV
camera, and CCTV equipment; upgrading pedestrian facilities and handicap
ramps to current ADA standards; infrastructure to provide future landscaping in
the raised medians; sewer main condition assessment; sewer pipe and manhole
rehabilitation; design of approximately 2,000 lf of 42-inch water main for Casino
Drive; and installation of additional 2,000 lf of 42-inch water main for Thomas Edison
Drive; special provisions in compliance with Clark County Public Works requirements
and CSI format in compliance with Las Vegas Valley Water District and Clark County
Water Reclamation District master specifications. The project also included the mill
and overlay of 1/2 mile of Laughlin Civic Drive and the construction of an 8-ft by 5-ft
RCB (RFCD facility) under Casino Drive near SR 163.
