GCW provided construction administration and quality control services for the
construction of approximately 1,600 lf of “Mega” (23-ft by 8-ft, 18-ft by 8-ft, and 18-
ft by 9-ft) precast Reinforced Concrete Box (RCB) storm drain, approximately 2,300
lf of 7-ft by 6-ft to 12-ft by 8-ft RCB storm drain, approximately 320 lf of Reinforced
Concrete Pipe (RCP) storm drain laterals, approximately 2,200 lf of sewer line
relocation, miscellaneous waterline relocation and replacements, junction
structures, transition structures and inlets. The work also included the removal and
relocation of water and sewer lines including all appurtenances and manholes,
landscape removal and repair, paving and excavation. The project included
multi-jurisdictional coordination with City of Las Vegas, Las Vegas Valley Water
District, and Clark County Regional Flood Control District. GCW oversaw quality
control and performed construction administration, monthly pay application
review, and overall quality assurance for the project. Phase 2A was recognized by
APWA as Project of the Year in the structures category in 2013.
