GCW Lone Mountain

As a subconsultant to JWZ, GCW provided engineering design for civil, water, and sewer improvements for a 21.5-acre site. GCW also performed a drainage study update and provided utility coordination. Project included half-street improvements for Lone Mountain Road along the frontage of the project site, including horizontal control, plan and profile, storm drain, grading, street lighting, signing, striping and associated details and sections. Engineering services for this project included a new parking lot with sufficient space to accommodate 164 vehicles, four post-tensioned concrete basketball courts; six concrete post-tensioned tennis courts; eight fenced horseshoe pits built to tournament standards; and seven bocce ball courts with individual shaded spectator areas, all are lit for night play. One central gathering space includes a large overhead shade structure, barbeque grills and associated site furnishings, three restroom facilities, 11 group picnic areas with shade armadas. The park trail is about a mile long and ties into regional trails to the north and south. The concrete walking paths include stairs as well as ramps to meet ADA requirements and to facilitate maintenance.
