The Water Park in Summerlin is a joint venture with The Howard Hughes Company (TTHC), SPB Partners, and Village Roadshow Limited. The Water Park opened in May of 2013. The site is located on 25 acres within Summerlin’s Village 16A and includes an aquatics center, a community park, and the water park. The water park has over 15 water slides, a 17,000 foot wave pool, a 1,000 foot long lazy river, a toddler’s pool , and a multi-level rain fortress. It also has concessions, an events plaza, lockers and cabanas. The community park contains a play structure, play fields, a restroom and the shared parking lot for the site. The aquatics center will contain an Olympic sized in-door swimming pool and amenities.

GCW assisted THHC with the preparation of the entitlements for the aquatics center, community park, and the water park. GCW prepared the technical studies for the site including the traffic study and technical drainage study. GCW performed sewer analyses for the site and prepared the water network analysis. GCW prepared the civil improvement plans for the site and provided coordination with the various sub-consultants on the project including architects, landscape architects, mechanical engineers, structural engineers, electrical engineers, shade consultants, water feature design consultants, and many others. GCW provided mapping and surveying services. GCW also provided construction observation and administration services.
