The Logandale levee ranges from 15 feet to 25 feet in height and includes a 15-foot-wide maintenance access road. As a part of this project, the hydraulic modeling included FEMA standard analyses, duplicate effective, corrected effective, and post-project conditions. An important project success factor was an irrigation diversion dam that improved access, maintenance, and operations. GCW provided the design to meet the minimum National Flood Insurance Program requirements and coordinated with FEMA throughout the certification process.
