Jim has comprehensive experience in planning, negotiating, analyzing, evaluating, and reporting corporate financial matters. He is responsible for all financial and fiscal management aspects of GCW operations, and provides leadership and coordination in the administrative, business planning, accounting and budgeting efforts of the firm. He provides consultative support to establish and implement short- and long-range departmental goals, objectives, policies, and operating procedures. He works closely with tax consultants regarding income tax matters and compliance with IRS regulations. Jim also oversees the Human Resources Department functions, evaluating the adequacy of insurance coverage and administering employee benefit plans. Furthermore, he directs and manages the IT Department’s computing and information technology strategic plans, policies, programs and schedules. Jim began his tenure at GCW in 2006.
Brian has vast experience in structural engineering design and management of transportation, flood control, industrial and military facilities including extensive work in the seismic analysis, evaluation, and design of concrete and steel structures. He serves as group manager for the GCW teams providing Structural Engineering and Civil Aviation services. Additionally, Brian supervises the activities of the utility departments who design new or rehabilitated infrastructure related to Water, Wastewater, Electrical, and Alternative Energy products. His field project management experience includes supervision of subcontractors, procurement of materials, engineering and construction scheduling, and inspection including welding and equipment installation. Additionally, he has experience with varied delivery processes including Design-Build, CMAR, multiple prime contracting, and traditional Design-Bid-Build. Brian joined GCW in 1993.
Scott has supervised and/or managed the design and construction of a wide variety of projects with extensive experience in the construction administration of public works infrastructure. Since joining GCW in 1986, he has been involved with mixed-used developments, right-of-way acquisitions, and formation of improvement districts for project funding. He has particular expertise in highway safety and transportation design including planning and feasibility studies, corridor assessments, and alternative analyses. He has managed and supervised transportation projects for state and local agencies and authorities throughout Nevada including urban arterials, rural highways, freeways and transit corridors, as well as traffic engineering design, traffic control plans, ITS, and neighborhood connectivity networks and recreational trails. Additionally, he supervises the activities and products of the technical division providing specifications and construction contract document management services.
As President of GCW, Tim provides invaluable leadership related to strategic planning efforts to advance the company’s mission and objectives and to promote revenue, profitability, and growth as an organization and is also responsible for the Marketing and Business Development activities regarding responses to RFPs/RFQs, corporate branding, media relations, and client services. His career began in 1992 experience in civil infrastructure planning and design. He has managed transportation projects for state and local agencies and regional transportation authorities throughout Nevada, and specializes in Alternative Delivery Projects, including Design-Build and CMAR. Tim is also involved with projects related to traffic design, traffic control/MOT layouts, ITS, and community connections such as trails and parks. He is professional civil engineer and certified as a Professional Traffic Operations Engineer.
